Jane Woodlands-Thompson was appointed the position of General Manager of Women’s Sport for the Collingwood Magpies Netball team in 2018.

In this role, Woodlands-Thompson oversees Collingwood’s netball and women’s football programs across the Suncorp Super Netball (SSN), Australian Netball League (ANL), Australian Football League Women’s (AFLW) and Victorian Football League Women’s (VFLW) competitions.

Woodlands-Thompson previously worked as the General Manager of High Performance for Netball SA between 2007 and 2015, she also coached the Adelaide Thunderbirds to two crowns in the ANZ Championship competition.

Woodlands-Thompson is a member of the SA Football Commission and the AFL Women’s Football Advisory Group and joins Collingwood from Westminster School in Adelaide, where she spent three years as Head of Sport Development and High Performance. Woodlands-Thompson says she is looking forward to sharing in the evolution of one of Australia’s oldest sports clubs.
