Collingwood’s Super Netball team will fly into 2020 with an expanded roster of commercial partners after the club’s return to the finals last season.
The support of new partner Origin Energy is one of the highlights, joining major partner Chemist Warehouse and the Tasmanian State Government. Chemist Warehouse are a foundation partner of the club’s Super Netball program, while the partnership with Tasmanian State Government has created a pathway for upcoming netballers to develop their skills and gain an opportunity to play at the highest level.
In addition, Coles, TAC, Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, Subway and Nike will be behind the Pies in the upcoming season, helping the Magpies reach new heights in 2020.
Subway’s support will extend into the netball program for the first time in 2020, having had a longstanding relationship with the club’s men’s football programs, while the club will also see the elevation of an existing partnership with Nike.
Collingwood CEO Mark Anderson said the growing commitment of commercial partners to the Collingwood Magpies is a great endorsement of the program.
“We’re thrilled to have Origin Energy on board with our Super Netball team alongside Chemist Warehouse and the Tasmanian State Government,” Anderson said.
“With Nike expanding their partnership with theCollingwood Super Netball team and our growing relationship with Subway, it shows a mutual commitment with our partners to further advance our elite women’s sporting programs.
“We’re looking forward to kicking off the 2020 Super Netball campaign in May with the support of our commercial partners.”
Collingwood will celebrate the launch of the Super Netball season in the lead up to the Round 1 clash against West Coast Fever at Melbourne Arena on Saturday 2 May.
