The team of 10 was revealed at the annual Australian Netball Awards held at the Sydney Royal Botanical Gardens. Team selection was voted by players, coaches and high-performance staff.
This year Brazill played a complete 2019 Super Netball season and celebrated a milestone of 100 national league games in round 10 against GIANTS Netball.
Known for her efforts as a wing-defender, the 29-year-old moved into centre position for the final five rounds of the season. Brazill was awarded MVP for three consecutive weeks during this time.
Over 15 rounds Brazill recorded 34 turnover gains and 18 intercepts, and her efforts recognised with her earning a place in the Nissan Net Points team of the year.
In October Brazill was awarded international honours and represented the Australian Diamonds in the 2019 Constellation Cup. Brazill graced the court on four occasions throughout the series, taking her tally of test caps to eight across her international career to date.
Brazill and the Collingwood Magpies will travel to New Zealand next week to compete in the 2019 Super Club tournament, before Brazill returns to the Holden Centre for preseason training with Collingwood’s AFLW program.
Congratulations to Brazill and all the awards winners on an amazing 2019!
