With the World Cup commencing in just over two days, there's a lot going on and we're excited to see our three Magpies take to the court! With many national league players representing multiple countries over the next two weeks, the competition over the other side of the world is sure to draw a lot of eyes, and determine the outcome of the remainder of the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season and finals series.

We'll be following our three Magpies as they represent the Australian Diamonds and England Roses:

Kelsey Browne

Kelsey is relatively new to the Diamonds squad, debuting only last year. She's made an immediate impact and is looking to secure gold at her first World Cup. Kelsey is known for her high-energy drives and knows what it takes to win as a back-to-back premiership player for the Sunshine Coast Lightning.

April Brandley

April has 34 test caps under her belt for the Diamonds and is seen as one of the best defenders in Australia. Her hard to beat tactics and versatility have prepared her to enter her first World Cup in finest form so you can expect to see a lot from April over the next two weeks.

Geva Mentor

Geva is one of the most experienced international players you'll see take to the court during this year's World Cup. She debuted for England when she was just 16, and Captained the Sunshine Coast Lightning to back-to-back premierships in 2017 and 2018. After being a key player in England's Gold Medal win at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, you should expect to see big things from our co-captain throughout the competition.
